Throughout the eighties, the duo of Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff starred in more than a dozen films. The most memorable of these collaborations was Subhash Ghai's 'Ram Lakhan' (1989). The film was a successful one for Ghai and both Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff were praised for their performances.

Recently, there has been a lot talk of them reuniting for another Subhash Ghai project. Sources believe that there is sort of a spiritual sequel to 'Ram Lakhan' in works for which both the actors could return. Ghai will be directing this movie, supposedly set after 30 years of 'Ram Lakhan'; in which Anil Kapoor played a colorful while Jackie Shroff played a much more serious character.

Anil Kapoor, recently seen in the comedy 'Total Dhamaal' will be seen in the upcoming films 'Pagalpanti', 'Malang', and 'Takht' while Jackie Shroff is currently starring in 'Saaho' and will be seen in the upcoming political-thriller film 'Prassthanam'.
