Buoyed by the success of remakes of old Hindi classics like Devdas and Don, actress Preeti Jhangiani is pinning her hopes on her movie 'Victoria no 203'.

"I have played the same character in the new 'Victoria no 203', which was done by Saira Banu in the original movie. I am looking forward to the release of the film as I hope my movie would get a good public response," Preeti told reporters here on Saturday.

Asked whether she thought actors did justice to their roles in the remakes, Preeti said, "Producers and directors are making remakes with their own view point and actors too are playing characters with their own style. The most important thing is that public is also liking them".

Preeti, who acted in Yash Chopra's blockbuster "Mohabbatein", said she was happy with her career in Bollywood although most of her movies did not do well on the box office.

"I never wanted to be an actress. I came into films by chance. So i am happy with the way my career is taking shape," she said.

"As an actor, I am open to negative roles. If an offer comes, I will be very much willing to accept it," she said.
