The 2016 short-film "Code 8" as been turned into a feature film starring Stephen and Robbie Amell. "Code 8" is set in a world where 4% of the population is born with varying supernatural abilities, but instead of being billionaires or superheroes, they face discrimination and live in poverty, often resorting to crime.

Connor Reed (Robbie Amell), a power-enabled young man, is struggling to pay for his ailing mother's (Kari Matchett) health treatment. Soon, Reed clashes with a militarized police officer Alex Park (Sung Kang) and the many autonomous robot drones backing up the officer.



Co-written by Jeff Chan and Chris Pare and directed by Jeff Chan, the movie stars Robbie Amell, Stephen Amell, Sung Kang, Aaron Abrams, Chad Donella, Kari Matchett, Laysla De Oliveira, Greg Bryk, Peter Outerbridge, and Shaun Benson. The movie has a theatrical release date of December 13, 2019.
