"Shilpa Shetty was invited to see the musical on Tuesday and she has enjoyed it and its producers have offered her one of the main roles in the musical but she is yet to decide," the spokesman Farhat Hussain said.
Producers of the show have been holding talks with Shilpa's representatives over a deal for her to play the murderous Roxie Hart, played in recent years by Ashlee Simpson, Denise van Outen and Claire Sweeney.
They are desperate to engage her despite the fact that singing is not her forte.
She has been simultaneously having singing lessons with lead singer-song-writer Jamie Peace, a finalist in the prestigious International Songwriting Competition in the United States for his track 'More Than Enough'.
Shilpa, who was here to participate in a Zee Carnival at Olympia, left for Mumbai Wednesday night and would return here on March 11 to attend the Commonwealth Day.
She is also likely to be a guest of honour at the Princess Diana memorial concert this summer.
