The Australian band Spice Girls has recorded a promotional song -- that cost an incredible Rs.1.5 million -- for the film "Heyy Babyy" starring Akshay Kumar, Fardeen Khan, Riteish Deshmukh and Vidya Balan.

Band members Renee Bargh, Renee Armstrong, Jessica Smith and Patrice Tipoki were in Mumbai last week for the recording and filming of the English song.

It is a remix version of the title track of "Heyy Babyy", which is being directed by Sajid Khan.

The international track was recorded at Yash Raj recording studios Feb 23. Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy scored the original music and the remix is by Akbar Sami with Anvita Dutt Gunjan penning the English lyrics. Sabir Khan directed the special song on six exotic sets erected at Film City.
