It looks like wining Big Boss has changed Rahul Roy's attitude. Eversince Big Boss, Rahul has not only been in big demand, but the actor has also upped his acting fees much to the chagrin of the producers.

It is learnt that Roy was signed for a 'Punjabi film Watana To Door' for Rs 2.5 lakh. He was even given an advance of Rs. 50,000, but now that the film is going on floors, Roy has suddenly demanded a fee hike.

He now wants Rs.15 lakh for acting in the film or threatens that he will not do the project. Of course, the producer is not willing to oblige and as a result, Roy is out of the project. He has been replaced by Gursewak Mann (brother of singer Harbhajan Maan).

On the other hand, Roy is yet to return the advance of Rs. 50,000 and apparently, he has told the producer to adjust it in a future project that he is to do with them.

Watana To Door, a saga about three friends who travel abroad, is produced by Gaurav Sethi and directed by Rajan Layalpuri, who is also a cinematographer. The cast includes Awinash Wadhawan, Vivek Shouq, Abhhay Bhaargava, Ekta Trivedi, Sarhan Singh, Raza Murad, Aroon Bakshi, Upasana Singh, Teena Ghai, Sandeep Kaur, Shreya, Kiran Bhargav and others.

When asked about the Roy episode, a frustrated Layalpuri says, "Rahul Roy is no longer in the film. There were certain issues, so we decided to go ahead with the project without him." It has been learnt that he was signed he film in August and the shoot schedule was delayed due to Roy's participation is Bigg Boss.

"We only shot for eight days, that's all. We can manage without him. We had lined up our shoot schedule in Himachal Pradesh from March 14 and later in Austria.

Now after waiting all this while for Rahul, we have to go without him," add Layalpuri, who is also directing the Punjabi Film Bulleh Shah with Hans Raj Hans. - (SAMPURN)
