Ajay Devgn's Tanhaji is taking the box office by storm even after 5 weeks of release. The om Raut directorial has collected 269.93 crores at the box office. Week 5 was excellent with more than 10 crores coming in. And today too, the film will hold good because of Valentines' Day partial holiday. The film has done exceptional business at the box office, breaking records of films like 'Dangal' and 'Kabir Singh'.

The weekly statistics go like this: 118.91 crores in the first week, 78.54 crores in second, 40.42 crores in third, 21.65 crores in fourth and 10.41 crores in the fifth week. The fifth-week collection is the fourth highest after 'Uri: The Surgical Strike', 'Baahubali: The Conclusion', and '3 Idiots'. The total box office collection is at 269.93 crores, making Tanhaji the first blockbuster of 2020.

Despite limited screens and competition from new movies, the Ajay Devgn starrer continues to fare reasonably well at the box office. Although Love Aaj Kal would be the preferred choice for the majority of the movie-goers today, still Tanhaji will achieve the 270 crore mark. And with a good run in the sixth week, the film would hit the 280 crores milestone.

Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior is a 2020 epic biographical period action film starring Ajay Devgn, Saif Ali Khan, and Kajol. It is an Om Raut directorial and produced by Ajay Devgn, Bhushan Kumar, and Krishan Kumar.

Set in the 17th century, the story revolves around the life of Tanaji Malusare, depicting his attempts to recapture the Kondhana fortress once it passes on to Mughal emperor Aurangzeb, who transfers its control to his trusted guard Udaybhan Singh Rathore. The film was theatrically released in 3D and conventional theatres on January 10.
