Bigg Boss 14, January 7 Highlights: Yesterday's episode witnessed the pure emotions of the contestants as lots of interesting things took place in the episode. The episode started off with Nikki Tamboli expressing her disappointment with Aly Gony and other housemates over the alliance she made in the captaincy task. Nikki eventually breaks down while stating that she should not have trusted anybody and the inmates try to calm her down.

The task to be the contenders of the captaincy continues as the participants make their strategies. Rakhi Sawant and Sonali Phogat become the contenders' of this week captaincy while Rahul Vaidya gets disappointed for losing the captaincy once again. Later, Bigg Boss announces that it's the family time as the families of the contestants would come to meet them.

He clarifies that the housemates will get only 100 minutes to interact with their dear ones and they would have to mutually decide that who will take how much minutes. Vikas starts crying as soon as he hears the announcement stating that no one will come to meet him. The first family member to arrive is Nikki's mother who gets 8 minutes to meet her daughter. Nikki breaks down badly and other contestants also got upset with the reunion.

The family members are given the power to choose the captain between Sonali Phogat and Rakhi Sawant and Nikki's mother ends up choosing Rakhi. Then we see Aly Goni getting 10 minutes to video call his sister who goes for Sonali as the captain of the house. Shilpa Agnihotri also comes to meet Abhinav and chooses Rakhi.
