The first look of Parul Gulati, known for her performances in P.O.W. – Bandi Yuddh Ke, Selection Day, and Girls Hostel, from the upcoming series ‘Donali’ has been revealed. Starring Divyendu and Barun Sobti, this project introduces Parul in an entirely new light, portraying a character she describes as “raw, gritty, and unapologetic.”

A Bold Transformation for Parul Gulati

Sharing her excitement about the role, Parul expressed, “Playing a dacoit in ‘Donali’ has been one of the most thrilling experiences of my career. This character is raw, gritty, and unapologetic—very different from anything I’ve done before.”

With an unpolished, earthy look and a fierce demeanor, Parul’s character radiates strength and resilience. In the newly unveiled glimpse, she is seen wielding a desi katta (gun), embodying the raw intensity of a Chambal dacoit. Her appearance and body language seamlessly bring authenticity to the role, immersing audiences into the turbulent world of 1960s Chambal.

Immersing Into the Role of a Dacoit

Describing her transformation, Parul said, “The look itself speaks volumes; it’s stripped down, real, and full of intensity. Holding a desi katta, mastering its handling, and understanding the psyche of someone who survives in the rugged terrains of Chambal was a journey in itself.”

For Parul, stepping into this role was not just about the physical transformation but about truly becoming the character.

“The entire process—from training with weapons to adapting to the dialect and body language—has been both challenging and exhilarating. I can’t wait for the audience to see this side of me.”

A Stellar Cast and a Gritty Setting

Directed by E Niwas, ‘Donali’ also features an impressive ensemble cast, including Chunky Pandey and Yashpal Sharma. Set against the rugged and lawless terrain of 1960s Chambal, the series was extensively filmed across Madhya Pradesh, ensuring an authentic portrayal of the dacoit-infested landscapes.

Beyond Acting: Parul Gulati as an Entrepreneur

Apart from her acting career, Parul Gulati is also an entrepreneur and model. She is the CEO and founder of ‘Nish Hair’, a hair extensions brand. Her journey in entertainment began with her debut in the television serial ‘Yeh Pyar Na Hoga Kam’, where she played Bittan, the younger sister of Leher, a character portrayed by Bollywood actress Yami Gautam.

With ‘Donali’, Parul is set to showcase a never-seen-before avatar, promising a performance that will leave audiences captivated. As anticipation builds, fans eagerly await her power-packed portrayal in this gritty crime drama.
