Former Miss World Priyanka Chopra has been signed to play the female lead opposite Sonu Nigam in a romantic film. The film, tentatively titled Kabhi Kabhi Pyar Mein..., will be directed by Rajat Mukherji, who made his directorial debut last year with Fardeen-Urmila starrer "Pyar Tune Kya Kiya".

The film, which is being produced by Sunil Sadani, will go on the floors in August.Priyanka's role in Kabhi Kabhi Pyar Mein... is believed to be that of an eccentric girl whose life is thrown into chaos by some unexpected events.
