Meandering through various projects, Megha has now bagged a plum role as Anchal in NDTV Imagine's "Mei Teri Parchhai Hun" for Rajshree Production. Anchal, the young talented girl with lots of ambitions in life, gets destined to marry a middle-aged guy who fathers 3 kids.
Megha Gupta who plays the silent sufferer in the serial is very excited as her role is shaping up well.
The pretty girl, who plays a pivotal character in CID, has actually made her position clear at the Rajshri camp be signing a one year contract.
About her contract with Rajshree, Megha recaps, "Yeah, I have signed one year contract with them". Megha avoids opining any more about the signing matter as she thinks it's very personal.
But she doesn't forget to mention that there is no clause in the contract to hinder her from working with any other house. And that's how she is capable of investigating in "CID".
When we ask her about whether she wishes to work in any Rajshree film she says, "I am ready and waiting for their offer. It's such a good house that I want to work with them as much as possible."
Next we ask her if she is ready to go back and join any show of Balaji Production. "I started my career with them (Balaji)", Megha says politely, "and I guess they have the right to ask me to act in their show.
I already have got many offers from them. But I couldn't accept them as the characters offered were not interesting and I was pre-occupied too, then. Now, I am waiting for their next offer."
As being asked about her other career options, she says that if she has nothing to do in the tinsel town then cooking or event management would be the next best options for her.
However, Megha gives the credit of promoting herself as the actress in the industry to the Balaji Production only.
Actors are renowned for living others' life. Megha is living Anchal's life in "Mei Teri Parchhai Hun".
Being asked about her approach if she faces the same problems in real life Megha says, "I would have never done what Anchal is doing in the show.
In my real life, I would have arranged a good teacher and governess for them and would have left for the States to materialize the dream of my uncle and aunty." Megha adds more about the character saying, "In television we play characters that we cannot play in real life."
Have you ever met any character who sacrificed his or her entire life for someone else? Megha takes time thinking about the matter and then says, "I have heard of few such people who have sacrificed their whole life for others.
Though I have never met anyone but I have heard of them. That's how I don't feel this story is much fancied. We do many things being influenced with emotions only. And at that time we never think about our future."
She smiles and sums up saying, "It maybe because love is always blind."
