It`s a pity the regular Bollywood fare isn`t the flavour with many younger stars even in tinsel town. Fardeen Khan being one such. He was heard saying, "love stories don`t inspire me." Now that`s really unfortunate given that a good eighty percent of what the Mumbai film industry churns out is just that.

More so, his image is that of a lover boy. Starting from his Jungle days, he has always been cast in the mould of a romantic. Following Jungle, he did Kitne Door Kitne Paas and Kuch Tum Kaho Kuch Hum Kahen, both saw him as good lover boy. It`s only in Om Jai Jagdish that his role was a bit different, reason being that it was out and out a family story.

Coming next is his father`s home production, Janasheen and Boney Kapoor`s Khushi. It is unlikely that he could be playing anything radically different! But here`s hoping that he able to break free from those hackneyed plots!
