Phoonk star Amruta learns acting from child artiste
Marathi actress Amruta Khanvilkar, who plays a significant role in Ram Gopal Varma's "Phoonk", says she has learnt a lot about acting from her nine-year-old co-star Ahsaas Channa.

Ahsaas, who was seen as Shah Rukh Khan's son in "Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna", is playing the central character in "Phoonk", a film based on black magic.

"It has been a great learning experience to work with the little girl as I have never acted with a child before. Unlike adults, children are natural actors and they don't care about practicalities of life, " Amruta, who plays Ahsaas' mother in "Phoonk", told.

Ahsaas comes under the influence of black magic in the film.

"She is a perfect actor and I even learnt from her how to give a shot. Watching her act was really a treat, " said Amrutha.

About her role, Amruta said: "I play Aarti, who is superstitious and also believes in god. My role in the film is close to what I am in real life because I believe in good and evil spirits."

Amrutha says she has no plan for future.

"I have not planned anything. Whatever plans Ramuji has for me I accept it. As of now he has not approached me for any other film. But if he offers anything, I will be glad to accept it." "Phoonk", which hits the theatres Friday, has Kannada actor-director Sudeep playing Amruta's husband. It also stars K.K. Raina, Zakir Hussain and Ashwini Kalsekar in significant roles.
