Young Mohit Suri made a dream start to his Bollywood career when he gave two back to back successes in his very first year behind the camera.

In year 2005, ZEHER was followed by KALYUG and both of them proved to be decent successes. He worked hard on getting his WOH LAMHE (2006) in place and though this film too made money, it was mainly an average grosser.

Nevertheless, his stint with Vishesh Films continued as he came up with his most ambitious and expensive project till date - AWARAPAN (2007).

Though many believe that this has been Mohit's best effort as a director, the fact remains that AWARAPAN flopped at the box office. An Emraan Hashmi strarrer, it was crushed due to twin opposition in the form of AAP KAA SURROOR (Himesh Reshammiya) and APNE (Dharmendra, Synny Deol, Bobby Deol) that released on the same day.

"Since WOH LAMHE and AWARAPAN didn't work as per expectations, Mohit was heartbroken. He had to make amends and he worked extra hard on ensuring that he didn't leave any stones unturned for RAAZ - THE MYSTERY CONTINUES. He has given the film his all and worked relentlessly on the covering all gaps in his first horror film", says a highly placed source close to Mohit.

"In fact he has worked for more than a year and a half on RAAZ-TMC. He didn't even take up any other project in the interim and was totally focused and committed to the film", adds the source.

Bhatt brothers too backed up Mohit to the fullest and entrusted their confidence on him.

"Whatever be the fate of AWARAPAN, we know for sure that Mohit has been making constant progression ever since his debut film ZEHER.

He is one director who has only moved up the ladder and delivered a quality product with every film of his. KALYUG was better than ZEHER and AWARAPAN better than WOH LAMHE. Similarly, RAAZ - THE MYSTERY CONTINUES is only better than AWARAPAN.

We back people who show promise and Mohit has proved himself time and again. We are sure he would bounce back in a big way once the film hits the screens", says Mukesh Bhatt, producer of the film, confidently.

With Emraan Hashmi, Kangna Ranaut, Adhyayan Suman in the lead and Jackie Shroff in a 'surprising appearance', RAAZ - THE MYSTERY CONTINUES is confirmed for 23rd January release, a week after CHANDNI CHOWK TO CHINA.
