There is a strong buzz in industry circles that following the no show of Subhash Ghai's Paying Guests at the box office, a big corporate production house that is making the film starring the same male leads of the film that is Shreyas Talpade, Javed Jaaferi, Aashish Chowdhary and Vatsal Seth has decided to take preventive measures to save their costs.

An industry source reveals, "Rumours are certainly rife that the makers of this new film which is supposed to release in the first week of January 2010 have told these actors that they should be ready for a 50% pay cut.

Incidentally, this film too is a comedy but had a bigger budget planned than Paying Guests. While Paying Guests had failed to take a good opening it is not going to be a bigger loss for its makers given its low cost in the making.

This corporate production house perhaps wants to follow the same module and cut costs so that even if their film gets a low opening they won't lose much in the longer run."

Incidentally, Paying Guests 2 is being planned. So we hope the producers show faith in their star cast and not cut much money.
