Gurdas Maan who is currently touring Canada had to face a situation when his show at Telus Convention Center, Calgary had to be cancelled due to security reasons.

Fans were found carrying Kirpans and the show had to be cancelled by authorities that did not want to allow any weapon into the show premises. However, not willing to disappoint his fans he organized an open-air concert the very next day. A

Avantika Sinha, Gurdas Maan's Brand Manager, confirmed the story and said, "Yes the show was organized through an open air concert, where priority was given to those who had bought the tickets for the previous evening's show and the surplus were seated in the area behind the fencing. "
