Gurinder Chadha's latest movie 'Bride and Prejudice: The Bollywood Musical' has attracted a lot of attention from Hollywood. This is partly due to the surprising success of the director's last film Bend It Like Beckham in America as well as the popularity of musical films such as Moulin Rogue and Chicago.
In a biding war of sorts, Miramax Films beat its rivals to secure the rights of the film in the North and South American territories. The movie, which stars Bollywood superstar Aishwarya Rai alongside Hollywood star Martin Henderson, is expected to start shooting in the summer. Anu Malik has been busy working on the soundtrack, which has lyrics by Farhan and Zoya Akhtar.
