When we last saw her at IIFA Awards, Celina was looking drop dead gorgeous sitting next to her God Father Feroze Khan. She looked all calm and composed but hidden under that calmness is the, unrest and nervousness of a debuting actress. It's been two years, since Celina stepped into this tinsletown. In these two years not only she bagged prestegious projects but managed to create a rapport with bigwigs like Fardeen Khan, Sunny Deol and Suniel Shetty etc.
"I am never impatient, but there are times when the wait gets to you. Just when I thought it would be a while before my film hit the screens the latest buzz is that both Khel and Janasheen are going to release in August. Now begins the nail-biting wait.", says this fromer Miss India. Celina's low-key profile in the film industry has of course worked as an advantage for her. She hasn't been written off without being given a chance. "I am not dismissed off as easily by the Media because I am an unknown quantity. Models can be good actors too and I am going to prove myself soon." Celina is an accidental model who started off walking the runway in Kolkata just for pocket money: "For a young college girl, modelling offers you a lot of money. Of course, being in the limelight gives you a heady addiction to ask for more. I was literally forced to take part in the Miss India contest by my friends, a decision I never regretted, because that's what has made me what I am today."
Celina's priorities in life are clear: She's not in a mood to do women-oriented roles. "I'd rather do good films with good directors. It takes people years before they can have women-oriented films written for them and my good looks will ensure that I am going to be slotted as a bimbo but I can't complain now." May be a hit will change the way the film industry perceives her.
