Hockey lovers have always been unhappy about the lack of support the national sport receives as compared to cricket.
So, it was heartwarming to see that cricketer Virender Sehwag stood up to support the
game and is appealing to the people to take interest in it.
His active participation has brought some former hockey stars out of hibernation and they, along with the present players, are all helping the game get
popular.
Sehwag met up with the Bachchans and then with Dharmendra, asking them to lend their support to the dying sport.
According to sources, five hockey players- Vikram Pillay, captain Rajpal Singh, Prabhjot
Singh, Deepak Thakur and Arjun Halapa, with former player Hardeep Singh Sandhu met Dharmendra, who agreed to attend the World Cup and cheer them on along with his sons Sunny and Bobby.
