If you're sick of watching Bipasha Basu and compnay in flurry of supernatural thrillers, don't worry Big B has arrived with 'The Other(s)' alternative. Produced by Soni Juneja and directed by Ravi Shankar Sharma, 'Hum Kaun Hai' features bade miyan in the lead role along with vintage oops Dimple Kapadia.
It's a story of Sandra Williams (Dimple Kapadia) and her two children Sarah (Hansika) and David (Amaan), who live in a isolated brick mansion set amidst thick woods and mist.
The children are young, independent and mischievous but are sadly restricted by the confines of the four walls of their house. David is a mama's boy whereas Sarah is headstrong and has her own views.
Sandra's husband Major Frank John Williams (Amitabh Bachchan). A devoted father, a loving husband and a dependable friend Frank is at war and there has been no news of him for a while. Engulfed by the loneliness the children are craving for their father's return.
Virendra (Dharmendra) is a very close friend of Frank James Williams. An engineer by profession he works alongside Frank in the same company.
Recently the Williams have employed the three servants, Mrs. Pinto (Moushumi Chatterjee) - the nanny, Edgar - the gardener, and Maria - the help.
Sandra keeps the watchful look at the servant bries the servants about the quaint rules of the house. They move around the house in soft steps and darkness adding to that sinister feel of the film. Mrs. Pinto appears to be a very mysterious and suspicious lady.
Sandra feels that it is necessary to deal with the strange happenings in the house and goes to consult with Father D'Souza.
On the way she is shocked when she runs into her husband Frank. Frank is in a dazed state and seems to be delusional. The family is thrilled on Frank's return. During the reunion of the kids with their father, Sarah shares a secret with her father that leaves Frank aghast. It is then that he decides to leave the house.
Frank with his friend Virendra take it upon themselves to get to the bottom of the mystery and intrigue surrounding the Williams.
