While Shahid may be only looking in producers' books, his 'Ishq Vishk' counterpart, Amrita Rao has actually hit a big time. With Farah Khan's directorial venture 'Main Hoon Na', Rao has joined the major league and rubbing shoulders with her is none other than SRK.
And you won't believe how it all happened. It's all courtesy a cup of coffee. Told ya, you won't believe us. Now better hear it from the lady herself.
"It happened because of a Bru coffee commercial that I did. I believe Gauri Khan spotted me in that advertisement and she suggested that Farah audition me. I am really excited and thankful that I got this opportunity," says apparently ecstatic Rao.
In 'Main Hoon Na' Amrita plays a college student once again but one who is much bolder than the miss-goody-two-shoes of 'Ishq Vishk'. Her rock star clothing, kohl eyes and nose ring reek of her tomboyish character.
"It's a look that Farah had set for me in her mind. She has given me a completely different look in this film," she exults.
SRK's charisma hasn't spared Amrita either. Completely deluged by King Khan's charm she says, "I have learnt so much from him. The one thing he told me is, 'Nothing else matters except what happens between 'action' and 'cut'. Now I know why he is called the King Khan."
Rightly said Ms Rao. A very good luck to Amrita and for the rest of you we have one advice - have a cup of coffee more often. Who knows it turns out to be lucky for you too!
