The actress, who is mostly seen in bright and happy colours was a bit apprehensive about wearing the dull hue but Rocky took her into confidence and the end result was worth the try, as Bipasha looked simple yet elegant in the light shade.
"When I showed Bipasha the colour of the sari, she was apprehensive. But she trusts me completely. After it was draped on her, she just loved the colour, " Rocky told at the post show conference here.
"She tried a new colour today and she was looking beautiful in it, " he added.
Matching the sari with a perfect ruby and diamond set, the designer said that the emphasis was on the neck line to make sure that the diamond complements the sari.
Rocky said that his collection is for today's women who have great body and love to experiment with colours.
"It's a traditional Indian line, mostly aimed at a younger crowd with softer designs. The colours are very soft. There are ivories, corals in the design, the cuts are softer, the fabrics are much cooler for the summer. There is very little embellishment but in the right place and at the right time, " explained Rocky.
The saris, dresses and kurta-churidars, made of fabrics like fabrics like chiffons, georgettes and net, were in various shades of beiges, ivory, pale yellow, peach, nude and blue.
