Like a true Aquarian she seldom lets you talk but still after a lot of grueling effort we managed to get a few words from the horse's mouth or we should say 'Preity' mare's mouth about her life, career and future plans.
Riding high on two back-to-back superhits, 'Koi Mil Gaya' and 'Kal Ho Naa Ho', Preity has outgrown the threat posed by Bollywood's sleaze brigade. Sherawats and Dhupias are just the name she heard from some junkie at a party.
With her eyes set at 'Lakshya', Zinta is all set to deliver once again. A mere description of the film glistens her eyes and she start deluging you with plethora of details why the movie is so close to her heart.
"I come from an army background. So, I liked the fact that the story dealt with the subject of war from a young perspective. India is a young country and I am sure the youth will feel what I did when I heard the script. It was a very different, stark compared to Kal Ho Naa Ho but there was an honesty that shown through that I loved," she gushes.
She loves the movie for all the challenges it posed. Be it her non glamorous look, hostile terrain or her famous tiff with Farhan.
"Not with Farhaan," she retorts quickly and adds, "Everyone has their own way of reacting to certain situations. We had our high and low points. It was with Ritesh Sidhwani that I once had an argument but these things happen. I think the whole thing got too negative for Farhan."
And what's her Lakshya once she is done with this reel life imitation?
"I want to go out on a two-month holiday. I want to be a part of better films. I want to have babies and hope it will be soon because I don't want to be too old to have them," gushes Zinta.
