One of the bold movies of all time is now going to get a sequel. There has been news that Avalude Ravukal, one of the
boldest movies in the history of Malayalam cinema which was released in 1978, will now have a sequel.
The movie that was originally directed by the experimental director I. V. Sasi, has a story that revolves around a
teenage prostitute and people around her. With this movie, Sasi had taken up a subject that most of the directors
feared to take. Avalude Ravukal was the first movie in the Malayalam film industry to get an 'A' certificate.
Apparently, the sequel will be directed and produced by PH Hameed who has previously produced movies such as Ee
Thanalil Ithiri Neram. The beautiful actress Shweta Menon, who started her acting career with a Malayalam film named
Anaswaram, will be portraying the role of Raji, which was originally played by Seema.
It is also being said that while Soman's role will be played by Vijayaraghvan, Mamukkoya will be seen playing the role
that was played by Late Kuthiravattan Pappu. The script for the sequel will be written by Aleppey Ashraf, who had also
written the original one. While RK Damodharan will be penning down the lyrics, Berny Ignatious will provide the music
score.
Reportedly, the 'pooja' for the untitled sequel will be held somewhere in the month of June. Sampurn Wire wishes the
makers of the movie all the best.
