According to reports, Shah Rukh has been approached to play dad to his son in the film centred around adolescence issues while his son is to play the lead.
Even though Aryan technically debuted in a short opening sequence in the 2001 Karan Johar film Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, but this film could mark his full-fledged acting debut.
The story is about the romantic world of a teenager and deals with the differences in perceptions between the father and the son, a source told Mumbai-based DNA newspaper.
Reportedly, a 'prominent' producer, who is backing the script, thought Shah Rukh and his son would suit the characters very well and add to the movie's value.
Even though there has been no response from the King Khan yet, but the producer is confident that Shah Rukh will definitely like the script.
While the actor is busy with the shooting of his upcoming film Ra.One, his staff could neither confirm nor deny the news. But one aide did tell the newspaper that it was unlikely that he will say yes.
Shah Rukh is known to be a protective father, and he is not known to take decisions about his kids hastily and also to keep them away from the media glare.
But with Gauri reportedly opening up to endorsing products and shooting commercials recently, who knows, the Khan family might be loosening up a bit after all.
