An ardent biker, John Abraham understands the amount of risk involved in riding two-wheelers yet he can't get over the adrenaline rush and loves riding.

"I am a risk taker and there is a saying, the higher the risk you take, greater profits you get. So one should always take calculated risks in life. I love living my life on the edge and enjoy the space of a bike, " John told reporters here Wednesday.

At the same time, John said one should always follow safety measures while riding a bike.

"Wearing a helmet is really cool. Most of the guys ride bikes to impress a girl but I tell them what is the point in riding so fast without a helmet when a girl can't even see your face. Wear a helmet, ride slow and remove it when ever you want to get the attention, " the 37-year-old said.

"Also I feel that girls too appreciate men who ride safe and hence whenever they see a person riding without helmet, they say 'Dekho idiot ko' (Look at that idiot), " he added.

The Bollywood hunk was here to launch three new bikes from the automobile house Yamaha, for whom he is the brand ambassador.

There were reports recently that this model-turned-actor has plans to present Indian Premier League (IPL) like plan for football to All India Football Federation (AIFF) with ace footballer Bhaichung Bhutia.

Confirming this, John said: "Yes I have plans with Bhaichung to start a football academy in West Bengal. Bhaichung is talking to AIFF committee and hence I can't comment much on that."

"We are doing this because we want to see an Indian Football League (IFL), " he added.

So when someone asked John, whom he prefers - bikes or his long-time girlfriend Bipasha Basu, he charmingly said: "I have answered this before. I keep bike in garage and Bipasha in...."
