Could Priyanka Chopra finally be secure enough in her relationship with Shahid Kapoor to acknowledge it publicly? It sure appears that way.
The first sign that the actress was comfortable being seen with her guy was when the two caught Dabangg together at a suburban theatre. He drove her in his car to a screening of her latest film Anjaana Anjaani.
In the past, even if they were going to the same venue, they'd drive in separate cars.
The actress has now requested the organisers of Ranbir Kapoor's world tour to invite Shahid to join in.
In fact, Chopra even broached the subject with her AA co-star, Ranbir, who also thought it was "a good idea".
RK is going on a series of concerts in the US and Europe starting next July and is in talks with actresses like Priyanka, Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone. PC has confirmed her dates for the tour.
An insider reveals, "She wants Shahid on the show. That way they can spend time together. Also, he is a great dancer, has superb stage presence and will be an asset."
The big question
But the big question is: Will Shahid want to be part of a show branded as the Ranbir Kapoor World Tour? The source adds, "Even though RK is the headliner, there are talks to have other actors on board as well.
Like Ranbir, Shahid too has a list of popular songs he can perform to.
The show has been pushed ahead so that the organisers can have some more time to put together a solid set of actors. When contacted, Karim Morani says, "We are still in talks. Nothing has been finalised yet."
However a source close to PC insists she isn't involved in decision-making. "She isn't putting in a word for anyone."
The first leg of Ranbir's world tour will take him to Europe, America and Canada, the second will take him to the Gulf and South Africa.
"In any case", a source close to Shahid reasons, "he might not be able to do the Tour at all as Mausam releases at around the same time.
He has also given dates for Sajid Nadiadwala's next. So there's very little scope for him to go on tour."
