Karan Johar and Anurag Kashyap are set to co-produce Vikramaditya Motwane's next project.
Burying hatchet
The two filmmakers, who subscribe to radically divergent schools of cinema, have even indulged in verbal volleys in the past.
But they are letting bygones be bygones to come together for the Udaan director's movie.
This odd combination is sure to attract attention and leave B-Town wondering what the duo have found so appealing in Motwane's script.
Says a source, "They are in talks and things will be given shape soon. Those associated with the project are tightlipped as there will be several raised eyebrows."
Udaan won critical acclaim and was India's official entry to the Cannes Film Festival this year. It was also co-produced by Kashyap.
However, Motwane plays cautious. "I don't want to say anything about this project. I have no comment to make."
The KJo-Kashyap Tu Tu Main Main
The two directors had a war of words about three years ago when Anurag allegedly made derogatory remarks about KJo's show Koffee With Karan and Yash Raj Films productions.
Karan had said that Anurag was suffering from depression and needed a psychiatrist! The duo had even come face-to-face with each other at a Bandra nightspot!
