Actor and lyrist Dakssh Ajit Singh talks about his upcoming Punjabi film 'Tere Ishq Nachaya'. Excerpts

First tell us something about the movie, what's the story? And about your role?
This is a story about a girl Kamal, who is very simple and decent, her marriage is fixed. When once she meets me, she falls in love with me. And I am playing a role of a NRI guy.

So what's new in this movie that the audience will watch it?
This movie is not like other Punjabi films; the presentation of the movie is like a Hindi movie. We shot in Delhi, Punjab and Bangkok. The story is very nice and with that, the music of the movie is also add flavors.

Renowned Sufi Singer Hans Raj Hans and his son Navraj Hans have given the music. And collectively the songs of the movie are sung by famous Bollywood singers like Kailash Kher, Udit Narayan, Sunidhi Chauhan, Jaswindar Narula, Labh Jhanjhua and Hansraj himself.

How was your experience working in the movie?
It was really great. However this is my first Punjabi movie; but I had fun working in it. It was amazing shooting with Gavie Chahl, Mannat Singh, Kanwaljeet Singh and whole cast.

We have heard that you have danced in the movie?
Yaa. I have dance in the movie, but how it is, I can't describe.To watch me dance, you all have to go and watch movie and tell me how it is.

You are also acting in TV serials?
Presently, I am acting in a Star Plus show "Maryada- Kab tak". Before this I have also acted in serials like Jamunia, Raja Ki aayege Baraat, Chalti Ki Naam Gaadi and many more.
