Actor Prateik Babbar, who turned 25 last month, ended up footing a Rs.70, 000 bill for his surprise birthday bash at a popular Mumbai club.

Prateik, who was seen in "Jaane Tu...Ya Jaane Na", was in a fix and didn't know how to celebrate his birthday that was on Nov 28. So he decided to make a casual visit to Aurus, a club in Juhu, with one of his friends.

He surprised everyone by announcing that it was his birthday and so he would be buying everyone's drinks for the night.

"Prateik just casually announced that it is his birthday and that all the drinks were on him. He received a loud cheer from everyone there. But the real shock Prateik was presented with a bill of Rs.70, 000. He took it sportingly, and paid the bill without any complaints, " said a source.

Prateik's upcoming project is Kiran Rao's "Dhobi Ghaat", releasing in January next year.
