Picture this: crowd pelting stones at the Rani Mukherji and Abhishek Bachchan and police using the force in order to protect the stars. No it's not a scene from any movie but it all happened at the sets of Yash Raj Films' 'Bunty Aur Babli' in Kanpur.

Directed by Shaad Ali the film was mired in controversies over it's ‘‘sensitive'' scenes involving purohits.

Last Sunday, when the crew checked into Hotel Landmark here, Shiv Sainiks also disrupted shooting, objecting to Rani Mukherji entering the Sri Swaminath Akhara. Amitabh Bachchan and Raj Babbar wrapped up their schedules quickly under heavy security and returned to Mumbai.
