Scarlett Johansson who will be arriving in India this summer to promote her forthcoming superheroes franchise film Avengers will not be accompanied by her Iron Man co-star Robert Downey Jr. Instead it will be the actor's Iron Man suit that will be brought down here to be auctioned for charity towards the end of April.
It is learnt that Disney India is bringing in Downey Jr's costume around the same time Scarlett comes to India. "She's scheduled to arrive some time between April 19 and 25, for the promotions of the film. The film releases here a week in advance, before opening in the US in early May," reveals a well-placed production source.
He further adds that the suit will be auctioned before the movie releases in India. "The auction will take place in either Delhi or Mumbai.
The details and modalities are being worked out, because the producers would like to have the auction during Scarlett's stay," said our source, adding that the Indian division of the producers will make the official announcement by the end of March.
Interestingly, the amount that the production house is expecting from this auction is being kept under wraps. "Quoting any figure so soon could create a tricky situation."
