'I am thankful to Anurag', says Neetu Chandra on clinching her first international project after the filmmaker recommended her name for it

Neetu Chandra being cast in her first ever-international film is apparently all thanks to Anurag Kashyap.

It was the filmmaker who recommended her name to Greek director Kyriakos Tofaridis (producer of The Last Homecoming), who selected her over other Indian actresses including Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor.

Our source reveals, "Anurag met the director at a film festival and they hit it off really well. Kyriakos told him that he was looking for an Indian beauty for his next bilingual venture to be made in Greek and English.

He asked Anurag to help him find his actress. The filmmaker suggested Neetu's name and arranged an online meeting with the actress.

After a few conversations with Neetu and seeing some of her work, the director decided to cast her. He found her looks very Indian and exotic."

Neetu acknowledges Anurag's help by saying, "Yes, it was Anurag who introduced me to Kyriakos. I am looking forward to shoot in Greece. I am thankful to Anurag."
