The movie is said to be a reprise of the Sai Paranjpye directed 80's classic with the same title.

The movie stars a bunch of young actors with known faces like Ali Zafar and Siddharth along with Divyendu Sharma who is back with his second movie after winning hearts with his performance in Pyaar ka Punchnama, and the tollywood actress Taapsee Pannu who marks her debut in Bollywood with this movie. Chashme Baddoor seems to be all about 'Dosti aur Pyaar' and kaminapanti!
