AR Rahman is gearing up to participate in an internationally renowned musical TV show and the maestro has asked his long-term friend, lyricist Prasoon Joshi to help him out

The show that will soon go on air will have Rahman providing the music and the vocals to Prasoon's soulful lyrics.

According to sources, Prasoon has been requested to pen the lyrics of three to four music tracks in Hindi.

The two buddies have also worked together in the past including on songs from Rang De Basanti, Delhi 6 and Ghajini. And Prasoon, who wrote the script of recent release Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, has not charged a single penny for his efforts.

Says the lyricist, `Writing Bhaag Milkha Bhaag involved a lot of running. Working with AR is calming. It's always special to work with him. Some of my best works have come out of our close association.`
