Loads of Hungama at this Priyadarshan film festival

A week-long festival of selected Hindi films of noted filmmaker Priyadarshan will be held from September 23 to 29 at the Cinemax theatre here.

Being organised by people art centre (PAC) a Mumbaibased culture organisation the festival will be inaugurated by Yash Chopra, a press release here today said. The PAC is celebrating its silver jubilee while Priyadarshan, too, has completed 25 years in the film industry.

Priyadarshan's films are mostly comedies and family dramas. He has over 50 films in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi to his credit.

The movies to be screened at the week-long festival include ''Muskurahat'', ''Gardish'', ''Virasat'', ''Yeh Tera Ghar Yeh Mera Ghar'', ''Hera Pheri'', ''Hungama'' and ''Hulchal''. During the festival, there will be a felicitation function to honour the filmmaker with all the leading artistes of his movies on September 27.

A monograph of the film maker compiled by senior journalist P K Ravindranath will be released.
