Set in a Kasmiri back drop, the film sees him in a role of a terrorist in love with innocent lass Kajol. Fanaah is Kunal Kohli's third directorial venture after hugely successful Hum Tum.
The film is also seen as a comeback vehicle for Kajol, who has been missing from the scene for quite a long time now. Tabu is also said to be playing an important role in the film.
