The cricketer, banned from playing cricket for his alleged involvement in match-fixing, was initially hesitant to come on the show.
Says a source close to the show, `Sreesanth was approached two months ago after he was released from jail. Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa wanted to provide him with a platform to tell his story about the match-fixing allegations. Sreeesanth refused .We think at that time he thought he'd clear his name and get back to cricket. But after he was banned Sreesanth softened towards the idea of doing the show.`
The former cricketer was finalized this week, though his name was being tossed around for quite some time.
Says the source, `Sreesanth is preparing for a career in music and acting. He sees Jhalak as a stepping stone to movies. And yes, he will be talking about the match-fixing charges.`
The other contestants who have been finalized are singer-composer Sukhwinder Singh, actress Sophie Chaudhary, Mohit Raina's 'Parvati' Mouni Roy, Purab Kohli and television's hotshot actor Karan Thacker.
