Boasting of an all international star cast, 'Within' is PPC's second international venture. In August, the company had announced its first venture titled 'Tree of Life'.
Announcing the initiative, Percept Holdings Joint Managing Director Shailendra Singh said, ''We have timely identified universality of Indian cinema and its extensions. Indian talent can add tremendous value to international projects and vice-versa. Our vision, combined with our high value network, gives us an edge in recognising opportunities and porting resources globally within the entertainment space.''
On the occasion, Ram Gopal Varma said, ''I look forward to teaming up with the incredible enthusiasm and foresight that Shailendra Singh at Percept Picture Company has. I am sure that these ventures, which are primarily spearheaded by him, will result in a highly rewarding experience for all concerned.''
The other film that Ram Gopal Varma and PPC will be working on together is the former's long delayed international project, 'Ek'.
On the home front, PPC's production ventures have included acclaimed and diverse films such as 'Phir Milenge' and 'Makdee'. Its forthcoming films include 'Home Delivery', 'Malamaal Weekly' and the recently released India's first ever 2D animation film 'Hanuman'.
PPC has also distributed films like 'Page 3', 'Mumbai Express', 'Bose - The Forgotten Hero' and 'Yahaan'.
Some of the international projects PPC is involved with are - 'Racing The Monsoon', featuring Michael Douglas and Aishwarya Rai, 'Beatification of Mother Teresa', starring Penelope Cruz and being filmed in Rome, Kolkata, Darjeeling and Delhi.
