Sources say that Salman Khan, who has launched his production house, will soon produce the Hindi remake of a Telugu film.

"Salman will back the Hindi remake of the hit Telugu film, Happy Days. The film was suggested to Salman by one of his friends and he loved it so much that he has decided to make the film in Hindi,` says a source.

A Telugu film directed by Sekhar Kammula, Happy Days is about eight friends and their four years in an engineering college. The film was appreciated by everyone and it also won many awards in the South.

`The Hindi remake will also be directed by Sekhar Kammula, but it will be produced by Salman, who wants to cast younger actors in this film as the story revolves around college friends. We are already in talks with a few of them, but we can't say more as everything is still at the planning stage,` says a source close to the project.

Both Salman and Sekhar were not available for comment.
