Little have we known about their equation, but even if there was any complication in the relationship Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Helen shared, the differences seem to have been ironed out, reports Indian Express.

Their acquaintance goes back to the day when both the women were an important part of Salman Khan's life. While the yesteryear actress Helen is Salman Khan's stepmother, Aishwarya was reportedly dating the 'Dabangg' Khan around the release of their movie together 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam'.

The couple had an ugly break up following Salman Khan's scuffle with Shah Rukh Khan on the sets of 'Chalte Chalte'. This incident had soured Aishwarya's friendship with actress Rani Mukerji too, who had stepped into Aishwarya's shoes in the movie after she was replaced.

While some blamed the former Miss World for breaking Salman's heart, some opine that Salman was responsible. Aishwarya Rai is now happily married to Abhishek Bachchan and is playing the Bachchan bahu perfectly. And Salman Khan continues to be the most eligible bachelor of India. So, one would think that Salman's mother Helen and Aishwarya won't share a good relationship, but going by what we saw at the recently held Mumbai Film Festival (MAMI), where both were present, we were happily surprised. The ladies greeted each other warmly and exchanged smiles and pleasantries.
