Filmmaker Farah Khan, who has celebrities rustling up their favourite dishes on her recently-launched cookery show, 'Farah Ki Daawat', has been approached to endorse a popular basmati rice brand. And if sources are to be believed, they have offered her a whopping Rs 5 crore to be the brand ambassador.
A source says, "The company had a meeting with Farah and they thought she would be the ideal face for their project because of her new show. They discussed their plans and strategies for promotion of the product. The deal requires Farah to shoot a commercial and be present for their campaign."
While filmmakers rarely appear in commercials, Farah has endorsed a cookie brand along with Deepika Padukone.
Another source says the filmmaker has liked the concept of the rice commercial too. "The brand is ready to pay Rs 5 crore to her. They are waiting for her nod so that they can proceed with the paperwork."
Farah says, "I have offers, but won't be able to speak about the money or divulge any other details until I return from my vacation (with family in Maldives)."
