Emmeline was born in singapore and brought up in Malaysia and Australia. Malaysia is a beautiful country celebrating a diversity of cultures, race and religion, and home to luscious rainforests and pristine beaches, it also boasts of delicious food. She has completed her education gaining a victorian certificate of education and a diploma in banking and finance. She is currently living in kuala lumpur and is working as a model, her future ambition is to have her own business in the entertainment industry and to host a tv show in either fashion or travel. Hobbies and sporting interests are: reading, watching movies, working out at the gym, basketball, netball, swimming, golf, dining out with friends and chilling out to latin and lounge music. Personal motto would be “never lose sight of what you desire, stay focused and never let negativity stop you from achieving your dream”.
How would you describe yourself in three words?
Compassionate, humble, intelligent
Where would you most like to visit in the world and why?
I would love to visit europe because of its rich history and culture. Europe is so full of art and culture and it is reflected in their landmarks and people.
What is the best thing about your country?
The best thing about my country is the unity amongst malaysians. It’s a beautiful multicultural society. One that not only coexists, but more importantly, one where our people respect, embrace and celebrate the unique cultural differences of everyone else. Not to mention that we have great tourist activities and destinations.
What is your favourite…..
Film: I watch everything from horror, action, arty and chick flicks.
Music: I appreciate music of all genres but I enjoy jazz a little more than the rest.
Singer/band: Astrud Gilberto, Coldplay, Gwen Stefani.
Book: currently ‘He’s Just Not That Into You’. This book has empowered my beliefs in relationships.
If you were granted one wish, what would it be?
I would wish for unity because when people are united, society would be able to progress and focus on bigger issues than selfish ones.
If you were stuck on a desert island with one other person (famous or not whom would you choose?
Macgyver…the ‘human swiss army knife’; a get-me-out-of-a-tight-spot guy.
What is your message to all the other miss world contestants?
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for me. Not only because it’s miss world, but because i’m really looking forward to enjoying myself, meeting and spending time with so many people from so many nations and diverse backgrounds.
