What are your interests and what do you enjoy doing the most?
Since I am an anchor for the morning news program, during weekdays I read newspapers and monitor news programs as well as do regular exercises for my health. On the weekends, I usually enjoy playing with my dog whose name is Choco, ride a bicycle by the Han River, watch movies, read books, do yoga, and so on. I especially really like to go traveling as I am very excited to discover new cultures.
Name one person other than your parents who has had the most influence on your life. Why?
It is not easy to name only one person. I believe that I have been influenced by many people and try to learn the strong points of successful people. Recently, my personal role model is Alison Lapper, a British artist with shortened legs. Even though she has a disability, she has the talent to make herself and others happy even in a bad situation. I firmly believe that her talent is the best one given by God.
What is your career ambition and what are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?
In college, I majored in both English Literature and Mass Communication since my goal was to be an anchor. I always give all my thanks to God, and luck always follows me when I do my best. I will put my best efforts to be the best anchor woman in Korea.
Describe where you were raised and what your childhood was like.
I was born in Taegu, Korea, and grew up in Seoul. Because of my father's business, I often had to move during my school days. At that time, I did not want to move to other places as I had to be apart from my friends. However, now I think that it was a good chance to enhance my ability to adjust to any difficult situation. As I am an active person and have leadership skills, I was the class president as well as the vice president of my school. Also, I earned an award in the school music contest. During my high school days, my father's business faced some difficulties, but my family put efforts together, and then finally overcame the difficulties. When I look back on those days, those are the instructive days as it taught my family patience and self-control. My parents and two brothers are always the driving forces that have brought me here.
What makes you unique and different from the other contestants?
It is that I'm the main anchor of the "Morning Wide" news program as Miss Korea, and I have so much passion as an anchor and a Korean beauty representative.
