What are your interests and what do you enjoy doing the most?
On the islands, one of my main interests is to help the youth become more active in their communities and to incorporate healthier lifestyles through sports, exercise and maintaining a nutritional diet. I hope to serve as a role model by presently training in mixed martial arts, working out in the gym and volunteering in community projects. I also enjoy learning and performing cultural dances from and in the region.

Name one person other than your parents who has had the most influence on your life. Why?
I was greatly influenced by my 8th grade language arts teacher Mrs. Angelita Buniag. She encouraged me to reach new heights and to achieve my best potential socially and academically. She also helped me understand the importance of self-discipline and influenced me to become a better student and person.

What is your career ambition and what are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?
I am currently pursuing a college degree in criminal justice, and I would like to become a criminal investigator specializing in forensic science.

Describe where you were raised and what your childhood was like.
I was born in Memphis, Tennessee, but I spent most of my life in the birthplace of my mother, the island of Saipan. I feel blessed that throughout my childhood, my family shared a close and loving relationship. My fondest memory was when I was in the third grade and my twin younger sisters and I received bikes for Christmas. My youngest twin sister learned to ride her bike without training wheels before me! I am proud that my younger sisters look up to me, and for my parents and them, I will continue to do my best in all my endeavors.

What makes you unique and different from the other contestants?
I am unique and different from other contestants just by being who I am and where I am from. The Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands is wonderful melting pot of cultures, history and traditions, and I soaked all of that up growing up here. My heritage of being Chamorro and African-American gives me a unique perspective as I bring these two different worlds together.
