Environmental Concern:
I would not create a new environmental project to promote the protection of mother earth but I would support some already existing projects. There are nowadays a lot of projects to protect mother earth. Some of them are already well-known by a lot of people, other projects have received so far not enough attention. I would tyr as well as possible to support the smaller projects in all possible ways. In Belgium, the country where i live, a lot of children recently planted a lot of trees. They started this project to create a greener neighborhood and to purify the air that is polluted by many cars etc. this is an example of a project I would support. We all have to help to “save the earth” and one thing we can do is not to cut down trees and other plants in for example the rainforest, but to plant new trees and to protect existing forests and to respect our beautiful nature. Without our nature life on earth wouldn’t be not possible.

What makes you proud of your country:
Belgium is a small country, but not in all ways. I will explain why I’m very proud to be born and to live in Belgium. Belgium is situated in the west of Europe, bordered to the north by the Netherlands, to the east by Germany and Luxembourg and to the south and the west by France. It is also not surprising that Belgium has 3 national languages: Dutch, French and German. Although its surface area of 32,545 km2 makes it a small country, its location has made it the economic and urban centre of Europe. The Ardennes and the Nordsea are a natural and important tourist attraction. Belgium has also a rich cultural history and still has a pretty vibrant culture, the big amount of well preserved and cherished museums and the beautiful sights in cities like Antwerp and Brussels are just a few examples. Now I will say something about arts., fashion, sports, and gastronomy in Belgium. The movement which undoubtedly represents Belgian art internationally is surrealism. The master of Belgian surrealism is still Rene Magritte. In the field of painting, the precursor of this movement was indisputably an artist like James Ensor. In literature, Belgium can boast of writers who were also inspired by surrealism of fantasy, but also in the nord of the country of Johan Daisne or Hugo Calus, who was co-founder of the Cobra Movement. Moreclassical, in a genre which is sometimes scorned but in which he excelled, the crime novel, Georges Simenon was born in Liege. And the succession is assured, with Amelie Nothomb and Didier Van Cauweleart. Belgians have also shone in usic, aas inventors, with Adolphe Sax and, in classical music, with a highly renowned competition such a the Queen Elisabeth Competition. Fashion in Belgium is acquiring an international reputation. The Antwerp school had trained some well-known fashion designers, for example Ann Demeulemeester, Dries Van Noten, Dirk Bikkemberghs, Walter Van Beirendonck and Kaat Tilley.
