My project will be to protect the rain forest, they are valuable and fragile resource for our planet and without them we run the risk of destroying natures delicate balance.

What makes you proud of your country:
Ethiopia is the birth place of mankind and has a history and civilization that can be traced back over hundred of years even in the Bible like for instance the legendary Queen of Sheba who was the mother of the first emperor of Ethiopia fathered by king Solomon. Ethiopia is also the birth pace of coffee and is the only country in Africa never to have been colonized, we have a rich and diverse culture, with our own unique alphabet and calendar as well as time, It is a beautiful country just waiting to be explored and 2007 will see Ethiopia celebrating is separate year 2000 Millennium. I would like the world to come and discover the real Ethiopia and experience wonders like never before. Tourism is a valuable source of foreign currency income, which provides employment and development of infrastructures for other industries. But most of all, it provides the world an insight to the cultures and heritage of the countries being visited. With global trade and modern communications, we live in a global village. Through tourism, we, the peoples of the world could bring friendship and narrow the digital divide and benefit from exchanges of technical expertise and experiences.
