Environmental Concern:
I would like to do many things this year as Miss Earth Puerto Rico and throughout my life, but I would start in participating in a national campaign throughout my island to give an example of the little things we can do to promote consciousness towards the preservation of our natural resources. I would like to be a voice for the Green Peace phrase: “The Power of One.”

What makes you proud of your country:
What makes me proud of Puerto Rico is the cultural variety, which reflects our heritage and how we have managed to integrate them into the national Puerto Rican identity we proudly represent. I am absolutely in love with my island and all of her natural marvels, which are a product of our wonderful tropical climate. Because of these we posses a wide variety of ecosystems which serve as habitats for an outstanding range of species that are the interest of scientists around the world. rainforests, dry forests, heart-warming beaches are only some of the natural attributes my island has to offer. As a product of our environment, we Puerto Ricans have an outgoing personality and are welcoming individuals to our tropical paradise.
I’ve had the opportunity to travel to many places but when I return to Puerto Rico I always confirm that we have nothing to envy from other countries. In our small territory we have so much to offer that it is sometimes sad to see fellow compatriots that, because of faultless ignorance, don’t appreciate all of what they have in their hands. This is only one of the reasons why I consider the protection of the environment so important and urgent in my island and in the world. For me, Puerto Rico is one of Mother Earth’s most priced treasures and because of these I feel responsible and committed to give her a voice in a world that doesn’t want to hear.
