I will create a plant a tree foundation , to help create awareness of the problem through various seminars, and television programmes. The overall process would be a reforestation drive, encourage the nation to plant trees.

What makes you proud of your country:
Saint Lucia is considered the gem of the Caribbean, I always remind myself of how fortunate I am to be born and be a part of an island of such immense beauty. I am proud of my country because we are a nation that truly defines the phase “small in size big in surprise”. Measuring only 616 sq km, Saint Lucia is home to the majestic twin pitons namely “Gros Piton and Petite Piton”, recently recognized for its true magnificence as a world heritage site. The pitons are home to over 800 specifies of birds and some of the most unforgettable plants on the island. These mountains are home to We boost the Caribbean’s only drive-in volcano, which treats thousands of visitors from around the world to a soothing hot springs bath, and has been known to have medicinal benefits. Our nation has also produced two Nobel Laureates, which goes to should that our human capital can stand against that of any large organization.

What makes you proud of your country:
One of the most amazing things about Saint Lucia is that you can stand at any point on the island and view the calm waves of the Caribbean Sea on your left lacing the beautiful white sandy beaches and at some points the Atlantic Ocean on your right bathing the rock coastline. The government of my country also appreciates this beauty and has created four preservation areas, to protect some of our most outstanding coral that lies beneath our ocean floor. It takes my breath away that my country is beautiful both on land and in the sea. Saint Lucia is so magnificent that even our rain drops are beautiful!!!! I would definitely promote our natural beauty. Saint Lucia is relatively un-spoilt and is surrounded by a vast amount of greenery. For the visitor looking for a relaxation spot or the adventurous looking for nature tours and even the environmentalist looking to research our endemic birds (e.g. the white breasted thrasher) Saint Lucia is the place to be. We have something for everyone. I must add that the Saint Lucia experience is made far more enjoyable because its people are world renown for their hospitality. We always make our visitors feel at home, and always aim to meet their every need.
