Environmental Concern:
I intend to work with big organizations in Singapore to reach out to the mass. I believe that working with supermarkets would be a good start to work on reducing plastic bags consumption in Singapore. Waste disposary in Singapore, especially our high plastic bag wastage is of a major concern to me. We all know that plastics are non-biodegradable and yet consumption of plastics is ever increasing, so I would like to promote awareness on reducing Singaporeans reliability on plastic bags. I think plastics are so easily available that we tend to take them for granted. As I have mentioned earlier of my intention to work with organizations, I believe that working with supermarkets would be a good start to work on minimize packaging as a mean to reduce plastic bags consumption. If possible, I would like to collaborate with supermarkets to start working on certain schemes. Plans are not firm yet, but I am optimistic about it.
I would like to go on school visits to inculcate green culture to the youths of the nation and be a role model who actively participate in activities and promote campaigns together with national green organizations such as the Singapore Environment Council, The National Environment Agency and such.

What makes you proud of your country:
Singapore is a known “Green City” and I am definitely proud representing my country in a green pageant. There have been many green campaigns run by the government and green organizations in the country to raise awareness. In addition, some of the significant campaigns introduced the Singapore’s Ministry Of Environment (MOE) includes the Singapore Green Label and the Energy Label. The former aims to allow consumers to identify products which are environmentally friendly, while the latter highlights the importance of buying energy efficient appliances to both manufacturers and consumers.
